Frequently asked questions
Before your first consultation
Answers to questions many people have before booking.
1. Who is the clinic suitable for?
We generally recommend an initial consultation for people who have already been assessed or treated within the mainstream medical system, have basically ruled out acute conditions, and are still dealing with long-term or recurring issues.
2. Can results be guaranteed?
No. Results vary from person to person and cannot be guaranteed.
3. How many sessions will I need?
This requires an individual assessment, so there is no single answer that applies to everyone.
For long-term or recurring issues, we often recommend starting with a 10-session package.
For musculoskeletal or posture-related problems, sessions often begin weekly and are then adjusted.
For other long-term issues, such as digestive problems, sleep problems or fatigue, the interval may be about once a month.
4. What does the initial consultation include?
The initial consultation usually includes a review of symptoms and medical history, previous examinations and treatments, clarification of the main issue, and an assessment of whether it is appropriate to continue.
We use an integrative approach with perspectives from Chinese and Western medicine. Our clinical assessment may therefore differ from conventional views.
If we cannot reach a basic mutual understanding of the problem and the direction of follow-up, it is usually not appropriate to continue.
5. What should I wear for a postural assessment?
To help us assess posture, spinal alignment and overall body mechanics as accurately as possible, please wear clothing that allows the body's natural alignment to be seen clearly.
Upper body: Men are recommended to be shirtless. Women are recommended to wear a bra or close-fitting sports top. Please tell us if this feels uncomfortable, and the assessment can be adapted.
Lower body: We recommend close-fitting shorts that allow the natural alignment and symmetry of the pelvis, hips, knees, lower legs and ankles to be assessed.
Please avoid loose trousers and high-compression shapewear or compression leggings, as they may conceal or alter natural contours and joint positions.
Only the areas necessary for the assessment need to be visible.
